I was sure I'd just be background

Confession: I am an ISFJ, a ONCE, and a person who organizes the group dinner but never picks the restaurant. So when it came to running my Saju match with Nayeon, I stalled for months — not because I feared a low score, but because I was sure of the SHAPE of the result. She's the leader. So naturally I finally did it at midnight, the way I do everything I've over-thought. Typed my birthday, picked Nayeon, and watched the screen sideways like it might bite. I was braced to read the word “mismatch” in a tasteful font. Reader, it did not say mismatch.

I've spent my entire fan life assuming the bright people don't need the background people.
