Fan Diary: I Ranked aespa's Entire Internal Chemistry. The Spreadsheet Has Opinions.

Quinn is a MY, an ENTP, and the fan in every fandom who makes the spreadsheet. Not a bias — a portfolio. After mapping one group's chemistry went viral in her group chat, she did the only responsible thing: ran all of aespa through the engine, pair by pair. Here are the findings, average and all.
I want to be transparent: I do not have a bias in aespa. I have a thesis. Biases are for people with one favorite and a healthy relationship with their time. I made a spreadsheet titled 'aespa_internal_v3' and yes there were two earlier versions. So when I found out the engine scores every member pairing, I didn't 'try it.' I conducted a study.
Six pairings. One engine. The group came out at a 69 average, which I want to note is a perfectly respectable, lived-in number — not a glossy 90 where everyone agrees about everything, but a real group with real edges. I made a bar chart. I will be showing it to people who did not ask.
The findings (you didn't ask, I'm telling you)
Strongest pair: Karina × Giselle, 86. Earth meets Metal — Earth produces Metal in the feeding cycle, so this is a clean, generative match, the kind where one steadies and the other refines. No notes. The chart and the fancams agree, which never happens, so I screenshotted it as evidence.
Lowest pair: Karina × Ningning, 61 — still not actually low, just the most 'opposites who have to work at it' of the bunch. And the heart of the circle came out Giselle, the Metal that everyone else resolves through. Karina pulls a lot of weight as a bridge but it's Giselle the structure leans on. I have feelings about this and a pivot table.
Why I do this (a confession)
Here's the thing about being the spreadsheet fan: it's not detachment, it's the opposite. I make the chart because I love the group too much to leave it unquantified. Every cell is a little act of devotion in a trench coat. The engine just gave me a rigorous excuse to stare at people I adore for four hours and call it research. Run your own group — your faves, your friends, your group chat. It is free and it will absolutely become a personality trait. 📊
