Fan Diary: I'm an aespa MY Who Extended Her Spreadsheet to IVE. Rei Got a 76.

I already ran all six aespa pairings. There's a spreadsheet. Color-coded cells, conditional formatting for scores above 85, a separate column for 'zodiac note (samhap/yukhap/chung/neutral)' because I read the documentation. I am an ENTP. This is what happens when you give one of us access to a saju engine and a quiet Tuesday afternoon.

But aespa's pairings only go so far before the ENTP brain starts asking: *what about cross-group chemistry?* The aespa×IVE fandom crossover is basically its own ecosystem at this point. So, obviously, inevitably, I opened a new row in the spreadsheet. I typed in Rei's birthday (February 3, 2004). I typed in mine. I told myself it was just research.

76. Earth Controls Water. Samhap Says Otherwise.

Here's what I expected: a control match somewhere in the 50s or 60s — that's the theoretical outcome when Earth and Water meet in the five-element cycle. I'm 己 (Ji, Yin Earth). Rei is 壬 (Ren, Yang Water). 토극수 — Earth controls Water. Classic opposition dynamic. I had my annotation ready: 'educational, not personally significant.'

I got 76. Then I read the zodiac note: '✨ Your zodiac signs form a perfect trine (samhap) — rare, powerful chemistry.' My year is the Rabbit (卯). Rei's is the Goat (未). Rabbit, Pig (亥), Goat — a Wood trine, one of the four great harmonic sets in the zodiac. I had to add a new column. The spreadsheet had not anticipated samhap overrides.

When a Control Match Has Breathing Room

The pair name was 'Banks & River.' 'Earth shapes water — one of you gives the other form and safety, but can also box them in. Boundaries with breathing room make this last.' What happens when an ENTP Earth reads that: first pass, 'Oh, I'm the structure.' Second pass, 'The structure has to leave room to breathe or it doesn't last.' Third pass, 'This is describing my conflict style exactly and I didn't ask for this.'

己 (Yin Earth) isn't a mountain. It's a garden. Receptive, adaptable, but still — it gives shape. 壬 (Yang Water) is the big river type: expansive, finds any gap. The samhap trine underneath adds a harmonic layer that shouldn't work on paper but reads like genuine compatibility when the zodiac branches actually line up. That's what the spreadsheet means when it gives 76 to a control match: not despite the tension, but with it.
