Hikaru's Saju

🌊 Hikaru's Great Luck cycle (대운) — the 10-year tides

Saju reads a life in ten-year pillars. Each one re-colors the same chart, which is why the same person reads differently at 23 and at 33. Below is every cycle Hikaru's chart hands them, with the one they are living in now marked.

1. 丙寅From age 3 (2006) the 丙寅 pillar takes over — Fire above, Wood below. Fire pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
2. 乙丑From age 13 (2016) the 乙丑 pillar takes over — Wood above, Earth below. Wood pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
3. 甲子From age 23 (2026) the 甲子 pillar takes over — Wood above, Water below. Wood pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over. — now
4. 癸亥From age 33 (2036) the 癸亥 pillar takes over — Water above, Water below. Water and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
5. 壬戌From age 43 (2046) the 壬戌 pillar takes over — Water above, Earth below. Water and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
6. 辛酉From age 53 (2056) the 辛酉 pillar takes over — Metal above, Metal below. It doubles his own Metal, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse.
7. 庚申From age 63 (2066) the 庚申 pillar takes over — Metal above, Metal below. It doubles his own Metal, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse.
8. 己未From age 73 (2076) the 己未 pillar takes over — Earth above, Earth below. Earth and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
