Shindong's Saju

🌊 Shindong's Great Luck cycle (대운) — the 10-year tides

Saju reads a life in ten-year pillars. Each one re-colors the same chart, which is why the same person reads differently at 23 and at 33. Below is every cycle Shindong's chart hands them, with the one they are living in now marked.

1. 甲申From age 8 (1992) the 甲申 pillar takes over — Wood above, Metal below. Wood pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
2. 癸未From age 18 (2002) the 癸未 pillar takes over — Water above, Earth below. Water and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
3. 壬午From age 28 (2012) the 壬午 pillar takes over — Water above, Fire below. Water and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
4. 辛巳From age 38 (2022) the 辛巳 pillar takes over — Metal above, Fire below. It doubles his own Metal, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse. — now
5. 庚辰From age 48 (2032) the 庚辰 pillar takes over — Metal above, Earth below. It doubles his own Metal, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse.
6. 己卯From age 58 (2042) the 己卯 pillar takes over — Earth above, Wood below. Earth and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
7. 戊寅From age 68 (2052) the 戊寅 pillar takes over — Earth above, Wood below. Earth and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
8. 丁丑From age 78 (2062) the 丁丑 pillar takes over — Fire above, Earth below. Fire pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
