Chan's Saju

🌊 Chan's Great Luck cycle (대운) — the 10-year tides

Saju reads a life in ten-year pillars. Each one re-colors the same chart, which is why the same person reads differently at 23 and at 33. Below is every cycle Chan's chart hands them, with the one they are living in now marked.

1. 壬子From age 7 (2004) the 壬子 pillar takes over — Water above, Water below. It doubles his own Water, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse.
2. 辛亥From age 17 (2014) the 辛亥 pillar takes over — Metal above, Water below. Metal and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
3. 庚戌From age 27 (2024) the 庚戌 pillar takes over — Metal above, Earth below. Metal and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him. — now
4. 己酉From age 37 (2034) the 己酉 pillar takes over — Earth above, Metal below. Earth pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
5. 戊申From age 47 (2044) the 戊申 pillar takes over — Earth above, Metal below. Earth pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
6. 丁未From age 57 (2054) the 丁未 pillar takes over — Fire above, Earth below. Fire pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
7. 丙午From age 67 (2064) the 丙午 pillar takes over — Fire above, Fire below. Fire pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
8. 乙巳From age 77 (2074) the 乙巳 pillar takes over — Wood above, Fire below. Wood and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
