Chowon's Saju

🌊 Chowon's Great Luck cycle (대운) — the 10-year tides

Saju reads a life in ten-year pillars. Each one re-colors the same chart, which is why the same person reads differently at 23 and at 33. Below is every cycle Chowon's chart hands them, with the one they are living in now marked.

1. 戊申From age 4 (2005) the 戊申 pillar takes over — Earth above, Metal below. Earth and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
2. 丁未From age 14 (2015) the 丁未 pillar takes over — Fire above, Earth below. It doubles his own Fire, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse.
3. 丙午From age 24 (2025) the 丙午 pillar takes over — Fire above, Fire below. It doubles his own Fire, so the decade amplifies what he already is — for better and worse. — now
4. 乙巳From age 34 (2035) the 乙巳 pillar takes over — Wood above, Fire below. Wood and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
5. 甲辰From age 44 (2045) the 甲辰 pillar takes over — Wood above, Earth below. Wood and his Day Master feed each other, so the decade tends to carry him.
6. 癸卯From age 54 (2055) the 癸卯 pillar takes over — Water above, Wood below. Water pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
7. 壬寅From age 64 (2065) the 壬寅 pillar takes over — Water above, Wood below. Water pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
8. 辛丑From age 74 (2075) the 辛丑 pillar takes over — Metal above, Earth below. Metal pushes against his Day Master, so the decade asks for effort rather than handing things over.
